Absolutely phenomenal :D It has a soulful jazz feel mixed in with a rock aspect and that's an incredible combo that you pulled off imo. Only suggestion would be to work on eq so some parts don't sound like they're fighting for the spotlight, but other than that, it was killer

MK-Music responds:

I think I know what you mean

What did you use for drums and percussion?

SokolMusic responds:

I used a bass drum and a gong sample from Garritan Personal Orchestra 5.

I imagine a space of reverence, where you know the regal dwells. A long, tall, open corridor past the barracks that keep trouble out, lined to the ceiling with windows with light dappling through. A fountain at either end. I love it when music has the power to inspire imagery like that. Great work.

Moddex02 responds:

Thank you!

I usually imagine either a place or a Scenario when it comes to music and after i found a good inspiration i work myself trough.

I think this was a really good song. I love the drops between the two aesthetics, they were seamless and kept it very interesting.

....just trim the dead block at the end XD

NOmki responds:

thanks glad to hear u like it :D and yea im not even sure why the end is so long i need to check the project xd

Other than what you think is necessary to add, I really liked this a lot. Can't wait to hear your final version.

Moddex02 responds:

More variety around some parts.

Also Thanks !

I don't know if the intention was to have each voice be individual like it is, but it sounds as if each voice was recorded in an individual space and then spliced together, which isn't bad but it stands out imo. If you want to unify each voice / track together, using a small universal effect like a reverb, a delay, or even a filter can make it sound as if everything is happening in the same place. That being said, it's not like a it's a law to do that. It depends on your intention.

Other than that, I like the tune, it's innocent and melodic. Not entirely sure if I'd call it Ambient, but it's a fun song nonetheless

Curruff responds:

Thanks for the advice! The intention was to make them sound more separate, but I'll definitely keep this in mind for future songs!

Although, I'm not entirely sure if it's ambient either. I'm kinda bad at putting a genre to a song, so I just try to fit it in some category I know lol

pretty good for a short loop, from a dev perspective it's simple which fits like a glove for it's purpose and has a nice mild theme for it

Synfang responds:

Thanks! Ya know, I was actually worried that this wouldn't live up to expectations.

Notable cuts where it's almost too sharp to the point it sounds a bit chopped. Other than than, I feel the chill vibe.

-UPDATE- It's a subtle change but it makes all the difference. It cut's in the right places and smoother in others

LucidDebate responds:

updated it. thanks for the feedback. hopefully it's better now!

I know how you fell about the emptiness. I wish the audio zone got more attention overall, let alone the Ambient tag. A lot of beautiful things can be found within and this is no exception. Only thing I would've liked to hear is something to fill the low-shelf of sounds

Moddex02 responds:

Ikr but i guess that's just how things are sadly.

Sounds like a more up-beat track from the music found in those old "Fancy Pants" flash games. I used to love those a lot way back when.

Anyway, I like how mild but attentive this is, and the ending to catch me off guard and wanting what's next was a nice touch

SI-7 responds:

Glad you enjoyed it. I had a lot of fun with that ending, making it come out of nowhere.

I wouldn't know about any Fancy Pants games, since I only joined Newgrounds a few years ago.

We are the music makers. And we are the dreamers of the dreams. I only know letters A through G.
