got a chuckle out of this
Like what you got so far. I agree with you on sometimes taking a break from working on a single piece for so long. It gets to a point where your ears just kinda stop caring and everything sounds muddled and then your mind starts focusing on all the details instead of taking a step back and listening to the whole.
Anyway, only suggestion I'd give is focus on the lower shelf of sounds for anything you'd want to add.
The assortment of sound you used for this gives an idea of a 'future folk' genre. It sounds like synth bells and synth accordion and that's not a bad thing imo. Great work.
This drum is throwing hard punches. With the brass pallet, it really reminds me of the Rocky films and I can EASILY see this a fighting (punch-em) game.
Notable cuts where it's almost too sharp to the point it sounds a bit chopped. Other than than, I feel the chill vibe.
-UPDATE- It's a subtle change but it makes all the difference. It cut's in the right places and smoother in others
updated it. thanks for the feedback. hopefully it's better now!
I know how you fell about the emptiness. I wish the audio zone got more attention overall, let alone the Ambient tag. A lot of beautiful things can be found within and this is no exception. Only thing I would've liked to hear is something to fill the low-shelf of sounds
Ikr but i guess that's just how things are sadly.
Those pads in the beginning brought me WAY back to Vangelis and then a sudden sweep into modern sounds. Love this just for that trip XD
